In the realty archives of Philadel-phia county, in the City Hall, at Phila-delphia, Stophelr (Stephen) Keim, of , Philadelphia county, Turner by indenture, February ,1748, is recorded November 13, 1749,as the purchaser of a tract of land inLimerick township, Philadelphia (nowMontgomery) county. In 1779 this Stephen first was 62years of age, when Jacob, who mighthave been his youngest, was born. The early generations of Keim werevery long lived. This very complete paper treatsupon a lineage of Keim hitherto un-touched and for which the Editorwishes to convey his most appreciativethanks. The spelling of the name Kime is one of those errors of German sur-name orthography so common in war-rants, patents and other papers drawnup by the English proprietary officialsor scriveners.
