Design for a Main Altar, Giuseppe Barberi, Italian, 1746–1809, Pen and brown ink, brush and brown wash on lined off-white laid paper, In the center of the retable is a picture, probably of the ascending Virgin. On top of it and in front of the entablature are two angels supporting a wreath. On either side are two projecting columns. Above the entablature are laterally statues of sitting women supporting a medallion. The left one is supporting also a cross. In the center is a tablet with an inscription and on to p a triangular pediment with above two kneeling angels beside a cross.
