These late flowers are paying well this season. Sidney Hoffman, at his big Massachu- setts avenue store, did a wonderful Thanksgiving business. His plant trade was unusually heavy. I noted in Julius H. Zinn's window, November 30, a fine pure white plant of Cattleya Trianse alba from F. J. Do- lansky's. The plant came in a mixed importation. Henry M. Robinson & Co. report that their Thanksgiving business was far ahead of all previous years. P. J. Dolansky had a splendid cut of gardenias on long stems for Thanks- giving, which sold quick. He also had an excellent cut of cattleyas. Of poin- settias he has 7,000 in pots and pans for Christmas trade. R. H. Little, of Winchester, is the heaviest grower of single violets for the Boston Cooperative Market.
