Areception committee, consisting of O. , F. H. Brown, J. Dunfee, and C. T. Troop were, with a largenumber of people, awaiting the excursion-ists at the wharf. Mayor Quinlan mounteda wagon when the boat reached the wharf,and, in a few sentences, expressed pleasureat the visit of the Toronto grocers, statingalso that the day had been appointed a civicholiday, and inviting the visitors to takepossession of the town.
