Sheerness, Kent. 22 Aug, 2017. An unsual Rotex helicopter was spotted flying over Sheerness towards Southend on sea. Rotex operate a narrow Karman K-1200 K-Max helicopter designed for lifting and transporting heavy loads (up to 2722 kg) - more than the helicopter's weight. The K-1200 features special intermeshing rotors. It more commonly operates in mountain areas for critical repetitive lifting, disaster response, and search and rescue operations.
