A very ornamental and easily cultivated flow- er; exceedingly beautiful in mixed borders, and much prized for bouquets; blooms all summer; flowers blue, purple, etc. Finest Mixed,—Per pkt., 5c. Margarita.—A new pure white, sweet-scented Centaurea, growing- about 18 inches high, and of easy culture. The flowers are beautifully laciniated, and freely produced on long stems which render them valuable for cutting. The lasting quality of the flower after being cut is a desirable feature of this Centaurea. Per pkt., 10c. Victoria.—Blue. Dwarf, growing 8 inches high. Fine for pots or borders. Per pkt., 10c. Emperor William.—A dark variety that is very popular for cut flower growing, as it is the. most popular color in this favorite flower. Color, in- tense dark blue. Per pkt., 5c. very interesting novelty; an improvement on this old favorite flower, containing several colors not found in it here- tofore. Half of the plants will come true from seed, forming more compact and fuller heads of semi-double flowers. Per pkt., 5c. CENTAUREA. Gymnocarpa.—(Dusty Miller). — Finely d i- vided, fern-like silvery-gray foliage: attains a diameter of two feet; the principal variety grown; should be sown early. Per pkt., 10c. Candidissima.—A dwarf variety, growing only one foot high, with broad and thick white leaves. Per pkt., 10c. CACALIA. (Tassel Flower.) A beautiful and profuse flowering genus of plants v 'th tassel-shaped flowers, fine for mixed borders, they are of remarkably easy culture, but succeed best in rather rich soil. Half-hardy annuals.
