NORFOLK, Va. (Aug. 3, 2018) Vice Adm. Joseph E. Tofalo and Mrs. Suzanne L. Tofalo embrace after going ashore for the final time, following the Submarine Force change of command ceremony aboard the Virginia-class attack submarine USS Washington (SSN 787) in Norfolk, Va. Tofalo retired after 35 years of distinguished naval service. Vice Adm. Charles A. Richard relieved Vice Adm. Joseph E. Tofalo as commander of Submarine Forces.
