An arrangement lias just been per- fected between Edward Towill, of Roslyn, Pa., the hybridizer of the new rose, American Legion, and Myers & Samtman, of Chestnut Hill, Pa., regard- ing the sendin;,' out of this rose. Under the arrangement Myers & Samtman will propagate American Legion and, joint- ly with Mr. Towill, will send it out. The strong points about American Legion are that it is believed to be as free as Columbia, that it has no blind wood in January and that it is not sub- ject to black spot. Myers & Samtman will plant 5,000 or more of American Legion. Boelofs. James W.
