Textile warehouse. Fully-automated, computer- controlled textile warehouse. Consignments of fabrics are contained in the brown trays stacked within the metal frames at upper right. Each tray has its own set of co-ordinates which give its vertical and horizontal position. Human operators use a computer to enter the co-ordinates of a box containing the fabric they want. The computer controls unmanned machines (yellow) which collect the required box and place it into the holding area (at lower left). The trays are then moved onto a brown, automated truck (at left) for movement to different parts of the plant.
