Many important conventions and public gatherings are held at thepark, notably, the Ohio Slate Baptist .-Vssembly, which lasts 10 days,and which brings .together 1,000 or more campers, or tenters eachyear; the Cleveland City Guards, who aiuuially muster there for 10days; the State Sunday School Union, 1,000 members, who also campthere for 10 days each summer; the County Fair, wdiich was startedin 1901, is likewise held there annually. The■Irinking fountains on the grounds arc supplied from large mineralsprings. No intoxicants arc sold.
