A miquelet flintlock rifle, Ottoman, middle of the 18th century. Octagonal, slightly swamped, twist Damascus barrel with seven-groove rifling in 15 mm calibre with brass front sight and fixed rear sight. Embossed and engraved, vine shaped, silver inlays on the muzzle and breech. Reworked miquelet lock with brass filled maker's marks. Typical "Tüfeng" stock (repaired break near the lock) with light and green bone inlays and decorated entirely with a variety of brass star rosettes. Nine silver barrel bands.
