A model 1855 hunting hanger for the Tsar's court hunters, Schaaf and Sons, St. Petersburg, 1870 A wedge blade with fullers and a double-edged point. The reverse side is etched with a medallion bearing the double-headed eagle, a surrounding Cyrillic inscription, and the year, "1870". The maker's stamp along with the double-headed eagle are on the ricasso. Pommel and quillons are of chiselled and gilt brass. Stag horn grip scales.
