Entrance sign to the historic Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego. In the mid-19th century this was the heart of the city but it fell into disrepair and disrepute. It renowned for drugs, prostitution and gambling. It fell into further disrepair and disrepute. However much has recently been restored.
