Both maternalgrandparents died of pulmonary tuberculosis, and were both father, a miner, was 33 and the mother 41 at the time of this childsbirth. This is the ninth and last child born; the others are well andstrong. R. was a. strong baby; the fontanelle closed one month afterbirth. Her sight and hearing are defective, and she has pronouncedblepharitis and photophobia. She is active and passionate.
