MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA - June 01: Elated St Kilda locals, Sarah and Philippe enjoy drinks and a meal inside Rococo's in Acland Street for the first time in three months as COVID-19 restrictions are lifted today allowing for up to 20 patrons in bars, cafes and restaurants on 01 June, 2020 in Melbourne, Australia. Victoria is open for business as cafes, bars and restaurants once again open their doors for a maximum of 20 sit down patrons from today. The Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews, announced on the 16th May that all cafes, restaurants and bars will be able to reopen for up to 20 patrons per enclosed space from the 1st of June and then a further easing of restrictions to 50 patrons on the 22nd of June. It comes as welcome news to the hospitality industry as it reels under the COVID-19 restrictions imposed on it for the past 3 months. Many will never trade again, and many are unable to open with so few patrons allowed and plan to wait for the next lifting of restrictions allowing 50 customers at any one time.
