Dr. Gregory,having resigned the office of Regent in 1880, wassucceeded by Dr. Selim H. Peabody, who hadbeen Professor of Jlechanical and Civil Engineer-ing. Dr. Peabody resigned in 1891. The dutiesof Regent were then discharged by Prof. ThomasJ. Burrill until August, 1894, when Dr. Andrevi^Sloan Draper, former State Superintendent ofPublic Instruct
