Baker, of course, wasthe logical site for the county capital, but it tooktime and hard work to bring about the proper action, and Mr. Lang and his associates deserve much creditfor what they accomplished. With the establishmentof Fallon County and the final selection of Baker asits capital the little village took on a period of expan-sion that resulted in a remarkable growth, and in allof it Mr. Lang bore a constructive part. He was one of the founders of the Baker StateBank, the first one in the city, and of the FirstNational Bank at Ismay, remaining vice president.
