A large two-hand sword, Wolfgang Stantler II, Passau, circa 1580 Massive, double-edged blade with a long ricasso and two fluke-shaped lugs. The Passau wolf mark stamped on one side, and half an orb stamped on the other. Remnants of brass inlay with decorative lines in the shape of a St. Andrews cross stamped above them, also retaining minute traces of the original brass inlay. Slightly curved quillons with decorative notches and with split and rolled ornamental finials. Guard ring on both sides with inserted fleur de lys decoration.
