It makes a low, compact bush, 15 to 18 inches high,and is covered nearly the whole growing season withlarge umbels of deep crimson flowers, which measurenearly a foot across. When scarcely 3 inches high itbegins to bloom and thereafter is seldom out of a pot plant, or for growing in the open ground,nothing can equal it.
