The Rufiji River Camp is situated on the banks overlooking the Rufiji River, the largest of East Africas perennial rivers and situated in the Selous Game Reserve. The Selous is the largest Protected Wildlife area in Africa but under severe threat on many fronts including the construction of a Hydro Electric pwere paln on the river being pushed ahead without any Environmental Impact Assesments.
