Parcel gilt bronze fanghu with taotie mask handles and animals, early Western Han dynasty, China, late 3rd-early 2nd century BC. A small parcel-gilt square bronze fanghu (square wine vessel) with square mouth and taotie ringed handles. The vessel is covered all over with a parcel-gilt incised decoration of stylised dragons and phoenixes with an incised long-tailed leopard and a deer amid tracery on opposite sides.
