The Hague, Tuesday 17th March 2020. Although The Hague and The Netherlands in general is under no official lock-down, this was the eerie silent scene yesterday evening, between 17:30 and 18:30; when normally these streets would be full with evening shoppers, open restaurants and commuters journeying home. The most common site was a few restaurant bicycle deliveries and: ‘Take-away only’ from local Coffee shops selling dope! No ware could you buy a tea, a cup of coffee and least of all – find a toilet one could pee-in but, all the dope you can smoke! Obviously, the Dutch have/know their priorities in a time of a National disaster!! Imaged: Grote Marktstraat, The Hague. The Netherlands. © Charles M Vella/Alamy Live News
