It serves as a point of attachment for tongs or other POWER SKIDDING 199 skidding devices. The logs are dragged up to the main cableby this line, which also suspends them and serves to return thetrolley to the head spar tree. When the trolley is run out from the head spar tr^e, theskidding line sags between the two points of support and itsweight pulls the tongs against the trolley. The line is either
