A recruit from Golf Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, provides security during the Crucible at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., June 27. Recruits posted security for their fire team to simulate protection during combat situations. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Golf Company is scheduled to graduate July 13.
