The total distance was about 1,300 miles. The results were encouraging enough for the firm tocontract fortwo40-foot trailers to be out- fitted for regular crab hauling. At present, live Dungeness crab are being air-shipped from Alaska to Washington State, and distrib- uted by truck along the coast.
