The approaching Bank Holiday is undoubtedlythe time when the greatest exodus takes placefrom London, and to meet the many requirementsof holidaymakera, both for the forthcoming holi-day and the remainder of the season, the MidlandCompanys programme of Bank Holiday excur-sions gives the fullest particulars of their arrange-ments. The pamphlet can be obtained, togetherwith tickets (which can be dated in advance, tosuit the convenience of passengers) from any ofthe Midland Companys stations and bookingoffices, or from any office of Thomas Cook Notes and Jottings. The increased price of wool has been on allhands a great benefit to the sheep breeder. Pro-bably the breeders of the long wool varieties ofsheep have felt the benefit of the rise more thanthe short wooled breeders. At least this wouldappear to be the case in respect to the exportdemand for stud sheep. The records of the salesof Lincoln rams by private treaty has beenquite exceptional. This excellent demand hasresulted in quite a large number being purchasedat very high prices. In addition to the sales pre-viously reported, we understand that and Brewster have secured a first-class lot offifty yearling rams from Mr. Harry DuddingsHock at Riby. The demand for the Kent and Romney Marshsheep has been far more keen than in recent fact, we are informed by the secretary of- thatsociety that a larger number of this breed havebeen already exported this season than in anyprevious year since the society w
