For 14 years the infant Church worshipped inthis place, when again in the year 1836 a cry was raised formore room. The site of the present structure was leased,and the foundation stones were laid of an edifice whosewalls were almost baptised with the tears of the exultantnew-born converts. On completion it was used for schoolpurposes as well as divine worship. In the year 1852alterations, took place involving a lowering of the founda-tions and remodelling of the windows.
