Wilhelm van Eupen opened a scientific bookstore in Nijmegen on 15 June 1928 alongside his bookstore in Eindhoven. Around 1930 his employee took Mr. Berkhout over the bookstore and continued under the name Berkhout formerly Van Eupen. In addition to the sale of books, Berkhout also published books and organized exhibitions in the Kunstzaal
