General Warren is a popular and influential Mason andKnight Templar, and is a citizen of the State in Schuylkill. He received a carefuleducation and studied law atthe University of Pennsyl-vania. He was admitted tothe Bar on June 15, 1878. Heat once engaged actively inthe practice of his profession,and since then he has appearedin a number of cases involvinglarge sums of money, and theconsideration of constitutionaland other intricate law ques-tions. He is counsel for anumber of corporations andlarge mercantile houses andestates. Mr. Scott has devotedhimself exclusively to thepractice of law in the civil andOrphans courts. He is anearnest worker, a forciblespeaker, and has met with de-served success in the trial ofcauses before juries. He hasbeen a Republican in politics,but has been zealously in favorof all proper reforms in theparty, and as a member of theCommittee of One Hundred,worked hard and well in thecause of good government.
