Corporal Gary G. Cooper and Le Dac are seen taking a walk on the sand at 2nd Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division during the Vietnam War. Le Dac, who will soon travel to Saigon, is about to be fitted with an artificial leg. Cooper, along with Master Gunnery Sergeant Whitney M. Hoffmann, is responsible for making the arrangements for the artificial leg through the Mission Hospital at Da Nang.
