Coventry Cathedral, Coventry, West Midlands, 1962-1980. The exterior of the post-war cathedral showing part of St Michael's Porch and Jacob Epstein's (1880-1957) sculpture of St Michael overcoming Lucifer. The spire of the medieval cathedral, destroyed during World War II, is visible behind. The cathedral was rebuilt in 1951-1962 by Sir Basil Spence (1907-1976).
