Lake of the castle of Can Jalpí in Arenys de Munt region of Maresme province of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain

Large residential house with the appearance of a castle that August Borràs Jalpí had built towards the end of the 19th century. Its remote origin is an old farmhouse documented from the 13th century, when it was owned by the Berenguer de Dois. Later it passed to the Tries family that, in the seventeenth century, linked with the Jalpí, with properties in Pineda, Tordera and Sant Celoni. In the 19th century the Jalpí became related to the Borràs, from Barcelona. The house, located in the middle of the forest, has a large lake in front of it. Inside it has a chapel where there is a Romanesque image of the Virgin. At the moment it is a place destined to great celebrations, with the name of Castell Jalpí.
