Remarks.—This eleotrid is intermediate between Trimnui and Eviota.^ having the pelvic fins of Eviota but the gill membranes like Trimma. It differs from all other species in the genera Eviota and Trimma in its color pattern of eight blackish bars or saddles on head and body. The interorbital space
