Eisenhower (CVN 69). Garber, CVW-7 command master chief, died June 20 of apparent natural causes while deployed aboard the aircraft carrier. He was 43. The Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group is deployed to the 5th Fleet area of responsibility supporting operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom as well as maritime security operations. (
