Calyx tubular, with many nerves, dividedinto five at the top. Corolla extending far beyond the calyx; upperlip divided into two, lower, three-lobed, middle lobe notched. Glechoma hederacea (Plate II. Pig. 8). Ground is the only species of the genus. It is found verycommonly on old walls, hedges, and road-sides; and is apretty, bright-looking plant. Its leaves are kidney-shaped,scalloped, downy, or at least soft to the touch. Calyxformed of one leaf, with five pointed teeth.
