He is a member of Methodist Episcopal Church, and president ofits board of trustees. He married in 1838 Ann LouisaWetsel. Their children are Caroline, deceased;Joanna, died at the age of twenty-six; George, diedat the age of twenty-four; Wesley Hudson, Charles,and Garret, in business with their father; Emma,deceased ; Howard William, died at the age of twenty-six ; and Katie.
