Preparing & cooking meat in a cauldron over a wood fire during a display by The Ermine Street Guard Roman re-enactment society at Loggerheads Country Park, Denbighshire, Wales, UK. The woman playing a Romano-British camp follower wears provincial Roman dress. To her rear are two scutum shields used by legionaries & a hand-stitched goat-skin tent known as a papilio or butterfly. This display was given outside the Loggerheads Countryside Centre for National Archaeology Day 19 July 2003.
