The Mull of Galloway and its lighthouse has the distinction of being Scotlands most southerly point and the most western point of mainland UK being some 37 miles to the Isle of Man and 42 miles from Belfast in northern Island. Apart from the lighthouse tower the area is managed by the Galloway Trust
