Heis attorney for the Delaware, Lackawanna & Westernand the New York, Susquehanna & Western Railroad Companies — now operated by the Erie in Warrencounty, and general counsel of the Lehigh and Hud-son Railroad Company. Mr. Shipman has alwaysbeen a Republican and is an ardent supporter ofthat party, having made political speeches in manycampaigns. In 1898 he was appointed Judge ofthe Courts of Warren county by Governor John , who is now Attorney-General of the LnitedStates. Mr. Shipman is a Director of and Counsel-lor for the Belvidere National Bank, Vice-Presidentand Director of the Belvidere Water Company, anda member of the Board of Directors of several other. GEORGE M. SHIPMAN corporations, also a member of the Pomfret Club ofEaston, Pennsylvania. In religion Mr. Sliipiiian isa Presbyterian. He is a member of the first Pres-byterian Church of Belvidere, and a ruling Elder inthat church, having been elected after the death ofhis father in 1893. He was married to .Annie , June 26, 1878, and has three children:Margaret W., Jehiel G. and George M. Shipman, Jr. QUEEN, John Wahl Princeton 1887, at Mount Pleasant, Hunterdon Co., N.
