ATLANTIC OCEAN (Jan. 24, 2023) Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Benjamin Hughes, a Deck Department Sailor onboard the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), participates in a foreign object debris (FOD) walk down in the ship’s well deck in preparation for amphibious operations, Jan. 24, 2023. USS Bataan, Amphibious Squadron 8 (PHIBRON) and the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), all part of the Bataan Amphibious Readiness Group (BATARG), are underway participating in a PHIBRON-MEU Integrated Training (PMINT) exercise.
