Confederate re-enactors at Fort Moultire as the sunrises on the 150th Anniversary of the US Civil war in Charleston, SC.
Re-enactors commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the start of the US Civil War when Confederate troops fired on Union Soldiers in Fort Sumter, the island fortress in Charleston harbor. The re-enactors are at Fort Moultrie, the fort that was abandoned by Union troops who had withdrawn to Fort Sumter and in the process they left behind massive canons which confederate soldiers used to bombard Fort Sumter.
