Army Sergeant Joshua Tabb, an EFMB evaluator, low craws through an obstacle during the demonstration portion of the Army Europe Expert Field Medical Badge (EFMB) qualification test at Buamholder, Germany on Mar. 17, 2016. The rigorous five day challenge brought together around 169 soldiers from seven different NATO allied nations and tested each competitor on their warrior ethos and combat medical skills. The average pass rate for the EFMB ranges between 5 – 25 percent, due to the high caliber medical knowledge and expertise needed by each competitor to fulfil the test requirements.
