This is 1 of 9 panels within this set of the "Acts of the Apostles" series. This series was commissioned from Raphael for Pope Leo X in 1515 to adorn the walls of the Sistine Chapel in Rome. The original cartoons designed by Raphael for the Vatican's "Acts of the Apostles" set are currently housed at the Victoria & Albert Museum (on loan from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II).
