The proposed circulation system retains some of the routes of existing trails but converts them to boardwalks to protect sensitive wildlife areas and keep visitors from venturing off the path. Most of the informal trails south of the Little River will be closed using extensive native plantings (thorny species). The proposed paths and boardwalks allow for loop walks, especially in the East Reservation where educational features will enable the area to serve as an outdoor classroom.
