Cultural notes will be found on page 2. We might add that Hyacinth Bulbs in some soils will do well for a number of years without lifting or replanting. When through flowering, the beds may be sown or planted with shallow-rooted plants, such as Petunias, Verbenas, Por- tulaca, etc., which will keep the beds bright throughout the summer and in no way hurt the bulbs. The size of these beds are 6 feel in diameter; each bed requires 114 bulbs, planted 6 inches apart each way. "Tricolor" Bed of Hyacinths This is a very effective red, white and blue combination.
