Around about a dozen of these huts - elaborate man-made systems for the attraction, observation and hunting of the wild birds flying over the Landes ponds - are set up many floating decoys and caged live mallard ducks to attract waterfowl. En Automne, une tonne de chasse aux canards sur l'Etang Blanc à Seignosse (Landes - Aquitaine - France). Autour d'environ une douzaine de ces huttes - conçues par le chasseur Landais pour attirer, observer et chasser les oiseaux sauvages volant au-dessus des étangs - sont installés beaucoup d'appeaux flottants et des canards colverts vivants encagés.
