Moraine Lake is a glacially fed lake in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada

Moraine Lake is a glacially fed lake in Banff National Park, 14 kilometres outside the Village of Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada. It is situated in the Valley of the Ten Peaks, at an elevation of approximately 6183 feet (1884 m). The lake has a surface area of 0. 5 km². It develops a beautiful blue green colour in summer from the glacial particles suspended in the water. This view of the lake is taken from the side of the rockpile next to Moraine Lake Lodge, which was selected to feature on the Canadian 20 dollar bill. The mountains are part of the Valley of Ten Peaks.
