Schipperke puppy at about 4 months old. This AKC recognized breed is of the Spitz in the non-sporting group. Originating in Belgium, it was used as a watchdog or vermin hunter on barges and the name means Little Captain or Little Skipper. It is a black tailless dog of short stature with a fox-like face.
