Gill filaments of anterior hemibranch becoming progressively shorter than those of the anterior hemi- branch towards the angle of the arch. Pseudobranch present, about three-quarters eye diameter, with about 20 filaments covered by skin except for their tips. Dorsal fin origin nearer to caudal base than to snout tip by 175-2-00 eye dia- meters ; fin fairly low, the tip of the longest unbranched ray not quite reaching to the tip of the last ray when the fin depressed.
