A historic walled town in the department of Côtes-d’Armor, Dinan is one of Brittany's most popular tourist destinations. Its Basilica of St Sauveur features a mix of architectural styles, the highlight of which is a triple-arched Romanesque doorway. The church famously contains the heart of Bertrand du Guesclin, a Breton warrior, whose victory in combat over the English knight Thomas of Canterbury ended the 14th century siege of Dinan.
